When I was still working as a technical supervisor in one of the companies in Cebu City dealing with computers and computer peripherals, I had a chance to study online, via the internet. The first thing that put in my mind was how web pages were done, how to make a good webdesign.

There was one site that I just can not remember the address, but that was where I learned how to make a better webdesign. The site shows how are web pages are working, how can create a web page. That time, the only internet language available was still hypertext mark-up language.

The pages at that time loads very very slow, as dial-up connections were the only available way to connect to the internet. There was no broadband at that time. And the only available browser, as I can remember was Microsoft internet explorer.

Time passed, and the internet broadens. There were lots of new web sites introduced and new internet languages were used to create webdesign.

Social network sites were also born together with the new technologies.

My first social networking sites I joined is Friendster. But of course, you have to have an email account first, which I had from Yahoo.

social network sites also evolved. With some of them also features pre-built or webdesign themes that you can choose from.

From social networking, I came to know about web sites that even offers extra money, just by joining and participating in. There were Yuwie, myLot, etc. There are also free social networking sites that you will spend a lot of time socializing, playing games, sharing thoughts, but there will be nothing to look forward to, as extra income will be the matter.

My most favorite site today, so far is myLot. In myLot, you just have to participate in the discussions. You can start your own discussion too. You can talk about different interests like technology, internet, love, relationship, television, news, health, sex. children, school, etc. Anything and everything under the sun, can be discussed, and members can participate in any of the discussions.

So far, there are about 181.200 or more members, mylot has.

By the way, you can be paid for the participation, however you do it. By starting your own discussion and by responding to others. Photos are included in the payment. And what is more, you can refer other people to join the site. If they join under you, you will earn 25% of their income.
